Job Purpose

  • Support the financial planning, analysis, and financial reporting for Fenner Dunlop Americas


  • Act as a key resource in the finance function, responsible for a variety of tasks under the direction of the Finance Director.
  • Assist in the monthly / ad hoc closing, reporting and analysis of the consolidated divisional businesses. Complete financial journal entries as required.
  • Assist in the monthly forecasting / budgeting process. Work with other members of the finance team to coordinate / consolidate information in regards to forecast, budget, and actuals.
  • Assist in other regular reporting, including sales / product backlog reporting, volume/rate/mix reporting, variance tracking, KPI reporting, and other analysis as required.
  • Assist in the monthly consolidation and data submission into Cognos as required.
  • Prepare executive reporting as needed, including financial review packages for the monthly Management team meeting
  • Manage the corporate balance sheet, evaluating key provisions and liabilities. Prepare and post journal entries as needed. Own the Corporate Departmental Expense Reporting and distribute to department heads on a monthly basis
  • Help to monitor working capital, ensuring an optimized balance sheet. Assist in the generation of working capital and cash forecasting. Investigate and implement opportunities to drive working capital improvements.
  • Help drive special projects and improvements as needed, with a focus on process automation.
  • Liaise with external partners, such as audit, tax, and consulting, as needed.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to streamline and automate various aspects of the company's finance function, such as the monthly reporting, and financial forecasting process.
  • Drive enhanced financial reporting with a focus on delivering value-added executive reporting.

Required Experience & Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 3 years minimum experience in a financial role
  • Ability to work with tight deadlines during the monthly close, budget, and forecast cycles.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • 2 years minimum experience working in an ERP

Preferred Experience & Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 10 years experience in a financial role, with prior manufacturing experience
  • 5 years experience working in an ERP

Working Conditions/Physical Demands

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule from time to time, when necessary
  • Travel of ~10-25% to different company sites
  • Must possess a valid driver's license
  • Must possess a valid passport. If candidate does not currently have a passport, employment will be contingent on attaining a valid passport with no travel restrictions to Canada.
